About the instructor

Margarita Corporan

Margarita Corporan is a photographer and producer specializing in portrait and documentary work. Born to Peruvian and Dominican parents, she grew up between Lima and Washington, DC, always with a camera in hand, which was passed down from her father, also a documentary photographer. That encapsulating passion for photography shaped her career. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in NY, Margarita immersed herself in the industry—working as a photographer’s assistant, commercial studio manager, stock agency executive, and photo editor at People Magazine, Marie Claire, Us Weekly, and People En Español. After 25 years in the field, she has launched Be So Present Productions, an experiential content business serving clients like Google, YouTube, Amazon, BMW and Mastercard.
