Bean Power Pop Los Angeles Tour

Before Superbean, there was Bean - Bean was a power-pop group from the early 90s, most famous for sharing a split 7” on Flipside with a then-unknown Beck. The band featured Steve Moramarco who went on to form The Abe Lincoln Story and later Superbean and Gwynne Kahn, pioneering garage rock bassist/keyboardist who played in such bands as The Leaving Trains, The Negro Problem, Mad Monster Party, The Pandoras, and Backstage Pass. They also released a 7” on Dionysus before splitting up. Now reformed 35 years later, they are playing a string of shows in the LA area.

Weds Sept 3 at Hollywood Hump - a club at Blipsys 369 N Western Ave, a cool dive bar featuring an incredible array of vintage video and pinball games. With guests The Letter Openers. Club begins at 10 pm.

Saturday Sept 6 at Corbin Bowl 19616 Ventura Blvd, Tarzana, with The Solipsistics and The Outset - doors 8 pm $5

Sunday Sept 7 4 pm at Music Garden Cafe 5133 York Blvd, Highland Park, a lovely afternoon show with special guest "Dallas" Don Burnet.
