The Eaton Farm opening hours are 11-00 am to 11-00 pm. Those who wish to arrive earlier and/or leave later can thus do so. There is adequate on-site free parking
It is on a frequent TrentBarton bus route - the Indigo Derby to Nottingham, which also connects at various points with the My15 Ilkeston to E Midlands Airport via the Green and our old school. Long Eaton (AKA Sawley Junction) railway station is approximately. 1 mile away, but other than on foot would involve catching the My15 to The Green and then the Indigo to Wilsthorpe Road island.
Food is available, and a booking can be made via Angie, who has a list of those who have already indicated they are interested. Please let me know if you still wish to eat or will make your own arrangements on the day. Others who want to book to eat can also advise Angie.
The meetup is open to anyone who attended the old Long Eaton Grammar School from at least 1945/6 to 1973, and those following into the merged "Long Eaton School" from 1973 in the old Tamworth Road buildings. There are no tickets/entry fees - just let us know if you are turning up, please, to avoid potential overcrowding
It is an informal meetup with, hopefully, some of your old cohorts, the youngest of whom would have left almost 50 years ago now.
Either Angie or Phil will be there initially to welcome you. It would be handy if anyone is arriving early and still has the old school scarf to bring it along as an identifier. Alternatively, please can anyone loan one to us?
