Welcome everyone to the Jeep Beach Clean Up. This event was formely known as Jeep Longbeach Clean up. This year I am excited for some changes that I hope will engage more people to attend and keep the Jeep Show more interactive.
First of all the goal of a beach clean up will continue and be the primary focus. I know not everyone likes to pick up the ugliness of what has washed ashore or left behind by irresponsible beach visitors. So, with that said a donation would be appreciated if you do not want to participate in the "dirty" work. Donations for not participating in the "dirty" will be accepted at Bolstad entrance Saturday morning
Friday evening will continue the tradition of a bonfire at Beards Hollow where we can unwind and talk about Jeeps. Remember the beach is patrolled and is considered a state highway and a strict 25 mile an hour speed limit is enforced. Stay out of the clam beds. Rocks has always been a topic of discussion at Beards Hollow. It is a very "gray" topic with different opinions from different law enforcement officials. Contributing to the bonfire with wood is also appreciated.
Saturday September 19th starting at 8am will be the sign up at Bolstad entrance for the International Coastal Clean up with some apparel and what nots available. Clean up will run until 11:00am and we will start the show and shine at 11:00am. This will take part at the Beach Barons field until 4:00pm A donation of $10 gains entry and a door prize ticket. I am hoping to have some food vendors onsite so please have some cash available as the ATM is a ways away. If anyone has some recommendations on who to contact for a food vendor(s) I am all ears.
When the show is over we will convoy out to the Oysterville beach approach. Then head north as far as we can to organize together. Then we will head south for a possible attempt for the longest Jeep beach convoy where we will ultimately end up at Beards Hollow. Depending on how many people we have attend in Jeeps we may try to spell "Jeep Life" with Jeeps on the beach. At sunset another bonfire will continue for the evening.
Once again all the gate proceeds at the show will be given to the hosts, The Beach Barons for local students in the Automotive Trades Scholarship program. All apparel and other what nots for sale will go to Pacific County Humane Society and Peninsula Wild Care in Ocean Park, Washington.
