The anthology is a carefully curated collection of poems, photography, and artwork exploring themes of passion, lust, resistance, revolution, and the 1995 Michael Mann film ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ต. ๐ฃ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐๐ด๐ฎ is a Chicano wordsmith, teacher, musician, emcee, and karaoke king born and raised in Southern California. As director of the non-profit, LionLike Creative Education, he teaches future generations the power of poetry, while creating a safe space for them to express themselves, find their own voice, and become published authors. His poetry has been shared on college campuses and has been published in the ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ฆ๐บ ๐๐ฆ๐ท๐ช๐ฆ๐ธ, ๐๐ฏ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ช๐ข ๐๐ฏ๐ด๐ต๐ช๐ต๐ถ๐ต๐ฆ, and ๐๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ช๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ด amongst other publications. This initiative honors the legacy of Ignacio Lopez, a trailblazing advocate for desegregation and publisher of ๐๐ญ ๐๐ด๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต๐ข๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ณ (1933โ1960).
