Paint Out Competition at Cockrell Mercantile Company

Hosted by Summit Art in partnership with Cockrell Mercantile Company in Lee's Summit, a Paint Out is a Plein Air “Quick Paint” competition - an exciting opportunity for plein air painters who enjoy creating in the beautiful outdoors. Artists, spend the day painting on-site to compete for a $250 Sponsor Purchase Award.

Let's set the scene…

Take a day trip to rural Lee’s Summit in Eastern Jackson County, Missouri, to the quaint community of Cockrell. At the heart of these quiet crossroads, you’ll find Cockrell Mercantile Company, a charming collection of early 1900s farm houses and buildings that have been transformed into a peaceful destination and shopping experience.

Surrounded by historic buildings under a canopy of mature trees, artists and visitors alike will enjoy all that Cockrell Mercantile has to offer - outside and inside the shops.
