24-week Boxing Empowerment Project
This event is designed to inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential through the art of boxing.
The main aim of the 24-week Boxing Empowerment Programme is to provide diversionary activities for vulnerable young people who may be at risk of involvement with youth crime, such as gang membership and drugs.
In addition, the project aims to combat the growing prevalence of obesity and Type 2 diabetes amongst young people in London.
The project combines learning the art of boxing with goal setting and mentoring to improve participants fitness, confidence, and resilience
The anticipated outcomes include:
• Reduce vulnerability to youth crime
• Acquisition of ASDAN Boxing Certification
• Motivation to pursue a career in sports and fitness
