Tree Canada's National Tree Day Planting Event in London

Tree Canada, in collaboration with ReForest London, is excited to celebrate National Tree Day (NTD), presented by BMO! This is the biggest NTD celebration yet, with events taking place across the country during National Forest Week.Join us to plant trees and connect with nature in your community! Volunteers will help dig holes and plant 400 trees, shrubs, and non-woody plants. Volunteers will assist with watering, mulching, and general site care. Tree Canada experts and volunteers will be on hand to provide guidance and answer your questions. We will provide gloves and shovels —just bring your enthusiasm!

By joining this free event, you’ll increase habitat diversity, improve soil health, support pollinators, and enhance this green space. Beyond environmental benefits, this is a unique opportunity to connect with others, learn practical skills about tree care, and contribute to a shared community goal.

This is a catered event! Volunteers can grab a snack and beverage, courtesy of Starbucks.

Volunteers should wear and bring the following:

• Water bottle
• Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots
• Long pants
• Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
• Sunscreen
• Bug spray
• Hat
• Hand sanitizer

This rain or shine event will take place unless the forecast calls for thunderstorms or very heavy rainfall.

There will be access to washrooms and a small kitchen area where water will be available.

This is a community event. Businesses and corporations must contact us to reserve tickets for their teams.
