In the Cotswolds you'll visit one the areas most beautiful villages, Bourton-on-the-Water. This is a must-see village, referred to as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' due to the number of attractive bridges that cross the gently-flowing river at its center.
We can visit Blenheim Palace if it will be open for public which is a masterpiece of English Baroque architecture and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. The stunning State Rooms are brimming with priceless works of art and magnificent tapestries. The Palace is still inhabited today by the Duke of Marlborough. The Gardens are set in over 754 hectares of land with an exquisite water garden.
It was a real pleasure to work with the VIP London Tours Team. They were very accommodating about dates and itinerary and we were able to make arrangements through them to purchase tickets to visit Blenheim in advance of our arrival in London. Blenheim is beautiful and awe inspiring. We went from there to 2 villages in the Cotswolds, having lunch in the charming Bourton-on-the-water and then visiting Bampton - made "famous" as the location used for the little village attached to the great house in Downton Abbey. We particularly enjoyed exploring the very historic church.
