Step into the magic of Little Forest Folk this festive season for an unforgettable outdoor open day. Expect a joyful morning of messy play, seasonal nature crafts, and plenty of time to explore our woodland-inspired play space. Children can get stuck into hands-on sensory stations, make nature-based decorations, and let their imaginations run wild under the trees — and all of it is completely free.

About Little Forest Folk Chiswick
Little Forest Folk Chiswick is one of our fully outdoor nurseries, where children aged 2–5 spend their days immersed in nature in the enchanting grounds of Chiswick House & Gardens. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, but our classroom has no walls — instead, children climb trees, build dens, treasure hunt, and create using natural materials. This open day is a fantastic opportunity to see what makes LFF Chiswick so special: our close-knit, high‑staff‑to‑child ratio (1:4), our playful approach to learning, and how resilient, confident little learners are nurtured in the wild.

What to Expect & How to Prepare
You’ll find us in our campsite area — simply follow the rainbow ribbon trail from the carpark to arrive at the heart of the fun. We’ll have cosy warm drinks for parents, and plenty of space for children to splash, explore, and craft. There’s a handwashing station on site, and toilets are available at the café nearby. Because we are fully outdoors, dress for the weather — waterproof clothes are strongly recommended, and while we’ll have covers if the skies open up, staying dry is much more fun in proper gear.

What to Bring

• Waterproof jacket & trousers (even if the forecast looks clear)
• Wellies or sturdy outdoor shoes
• A spare change of clothes — just in case!
• Optional: hats, gloves, or warm layers (if it’s cold)
• A sense of adventure and readiness for messy play!
