During this talk, a former BBC presenter, John Young, will reveal the formula used by TV journalists to capture attention, hold it, keep to time … and ensure that audiences are enlightened rather than confused by what they see and hear.
Key takeaways:
Speaker biography
For more than thirty years, John Young presented and reported the TV news on the BBC. He now helps businesses by revealing in eye-watering detail how journalists communicate complicated things to their audiences so quickly and clearly — so that businesses can communicate better with their clients, leads, staff and stakeholders. And as a result, build trust — and build profits!
John’s larger clients have included EasyJet, American Express, Gatwick Airport, Network Rail, the NHS and the Department for Business and Trade. And for the past eight years, he’s been a regular host of events for CIMA, from online conferences to your annual ENGAGE conference.
Outside work, John volunteers by visiting lonely and elderly people in his home city of Brighton, and helps young people by delivering free employability and interview skills in local schools.
