🌟Welcome to Cocoon Ecstatic Dance 🌟

We are turning one! A year of dancing, evolving and meeting beautiful souls.

This evening is a celebration of one year of transformation - individual and collective.

• A moment to honour the journeys we've danced through,
• the connections we've made,
• and the space we've co-created together.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has danced with us and want to celebrate you!

Cocoon celebration journey:

• We'll begin with a heart-opening cacao ceremony - inviting us to arrive, connect and set an intention
• From there, Morpho will take us on an ecstatic dance journey, celebrating the freedom, joy and depth that dance brings when shared in community
• After the dance we'll gather together for some nourishing food and warming tea, creating space to connect, reflect and celebrate - not just the dance, but the relationships that have grown around it

This evening is both a thank you and an invitation: gratitude for the year that's been, and excitement for the year ahead - as Cocoon continues to grown, evolve and be shaped by all of us.

About Cocoon:

Cocoon is lovingly co-founded by Morpho and Olivia, who share a love of dance, sacred spaces, transformation and creating community. We believe in the power of music and dance to reconnect us to ourselves, to each other, and to something greater.

Our vision is to create a sacred space where you can be your most authentic self, to dance however you want, to explore what’s alive within you, to feel deeply, and to let go of what no longer serves. Through this embodied journey, letting the music be your guide, transformation naturally unfolds.

What is Ecstatic Dance?

Ecstatic dance is a free form dance/movement practice in which you are invited to feel into your body and express any emotions that are present through movement. The music takes you on a journey, starting off slowly, gradually building the energy to a peak and then bringin you back down for an integration. There are no moves or ways to dance in ecstatic dance, you are free to express yourselves however you'd like. You can dance on your own or with other dancers, however you feel.

🌸 3 Simple Principles 🌸

1. We Dance without shoes: This allows us to connect more fully with the ground.

2. We Dance without words: This makes it easier to be in a meditative state, be in your body and let go of the mind.

3. We Dance as we are: Drugs/alcohol free, phone/camera/video free, just be yourself; with respect for ourselves, the space, and one another.

Cocoon DJ & Facilitator - Morpho

Morpho is a transformational DJ who weaves ethereal soundscapes and primal rhythms to guide dancers on a journey of self-discovery and liberation. Specializing in ecstatic dance, Morpho crafts immersive sets that blend organic world beats, deep tribal grooves, and soulful melodies, creating a space where movement becomes meditation.

Cocoon is also a growing community of dancers, and we’re here to build something beautiful together. We're excited to collaborate with other facilitators and musicians to bring fresh inspiration, new elements, and collective magic to our dances.

Info: Please arrive by 19:30 at the latest when the doors will close. This is so we can all be together for the opening circle and create a held container.

Info: We will have an opening circle with a cacao ceremony to connect the group and go through the guidelines for the dance. Then we'll have some guided exercises to bring us into our body and move into the dance.

Info: The dance will be unguided, a free-flow dance. Let the music be your guide.

Info: We'll close the dance with an opportunity to share your experience for those who would like to.

Info: We'll be offering hot food and tea giving you the chance to connect with us and your fellow dancers.
