The nonprofit DNACambodia will launch the Reconnecting Cambodia Project with a special commemorative event marking 50 years since the fall of Phnom Penh, a devastating chapter in Cambodia's history. This gathering invites Londoners to come together in reflection and collective healing. Chris Moon MBE, a former British Army officer who narrowly escaped execution by the Khmer Rouge, will serve as the event's Master of Ceremonies, lending his powerful first hand perspective to the proceedings. Through dialogue and shared ritual, the event will bridge memory and community, honouring those lost, amplifying voices of resilience within the local community, and celebrating the enduring contributions of Cambodian Londoners and those touched by Cambodia's history to the city's cultural and civic life.
