1-day Choir Workshop X Echoes of the Unknown

This Christmas we want to bring people together through the power of healing music.

CHOIR WORKSHOP

On Saturday 6th of December, Catarina Carvalho will be hosting a full day choir workshop exploring songs from around the world. This will include singing in different languages such as Chinese and some African dialects.

No experience or previous muscial background needed. We will learn the songs with different parts and harmonies all together.

For those of you who would like to stay for the concert in the evening, we would love to open the concert with the choir, showing the end result of the day!

CONCERT

Echoes of the unknown is a project redefining contemporary music and sound healing in sacred space. A concert bringing together artists from different musical backgrounds and cultures.

Musicians will include Alex Dmochowski (wind instruments) and Catarina Carvalho (vocals), alongside guests Dhanraj Persaud Pandey on Tabla and and Julia Brüssel on the violin.

This is a silent concert where you are invited to lie down, sit up or move intuitively to the music. There will be no talking and no clapping. A space for you to BE. To go inwards and tune in to your senses.

There will be yoga mats, cushions and props available, as well as some tea.

We aim to bring awareness about styles and playing techniques and explore how different genres can merge and work in harmony. Expect new, improvised soundscapes and meditation music.

We promote inclusivity and community by bringing different musical styles and instruments together: celebrating music from around the world!
