Overview:
Visapur Fort was built between 1713-1720 CE by Balaji Vishwanath the first Peshwa of the Maratha Empire. In 1818 Visapur was attacked and occupied. Considering the strategic importance of Visapur both the north (Konkan) and the south (Deccan) gateways were blown up. Except for a few huts nothing was left standing.
The fort offers a relatively easy to moderate trek especially during the rainy season when multiple waterfalls and streams make the experience more enjoyable. The trek is considered suitable for beginners and offers a chance to witness misty landscapes and gushing streams.

Important Rules:
● In mountains & jungles smoking/spraying deodorants attract honeybees and one has to face a dangerous “honeybee attack” where survival of the person is difficult hence smoking/deodorants is strictly prohibited.
● Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited. If found will be expelled from the group.
● The leader’s decision will be final and binding.
● Sahasi Sahyadri reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.
● Telephonic confirmation for booking is mandatory; if unable to contact us then send a text message and we will call you back.
● Please do not carry handbags or jholas or sling bags on treks.
● Please do not carry or wear any valuables ornaments jewelry etc. If carried then we do not take any liability for the same.

Refunds OR Cancellations:
● If cancellation is done prior to 7 days of the outing 75% will be refunded.
● If done prior to 3 days of outing 30% will be refunded.
● After that no refund will be provided.
● If the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances participants have the option to adjust the paid amount with any forthcoming event or ask for a complete refund.
