This LADIES ONLY Basic Pistol Course provides a safety and education focused introduction to handgun ownership and how to operate the firearm safely. This course is ideal for women new to firearms who are looking for professional firearms training in a structured, judgment free, and supportive environment.
What You Will Learn in Our Basic Pistol Class:
-Firearm Safety Rules - This course begins with the universal firearm safety rules. Students learn safe handling practices that apply at the range, at home, and during transport. Safety awareness is continuously reinforced throughout the class.
-Firearm Components - Students learn the main parts of a pistol and how each part functions. Understanding firearm components helps shooters operate the handgun safely and confidently.
-Ammunition Parts and Types - We explain the parts of ammunition and discuss common handgun calibers. This section helps students understand how to choose appropriate ammunition and why proper ammunition selection is critical for safety and reliability.
-Operation of Firearms - Students are taught safe loading and unloading procedures, chamber checks, and general pistol operation. This ensures every participant can safely manage a firearm before progressing to live-fire instruction.
-Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting - This section covers the fundamentals of handgun shooting including: grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and follow-through. These fundamentals are taught in a clear, repeatable way that emphasizes control, accuracy, and confidence.
-Common Malfunction Types - Students learn how to identify and safely clear common pistol malfunctions. Emphasis is placed on muzzle discipline and maintaining control of the firearm during any malfunction.
-Safe Firearm Storage - Students learn best practices for safe firearm storage. Topics include preventing unauthorized access, securing firearms at home, and choosing storage options that fit individual needs.
-Hands-On Live-Fire Practice - Under direct instructor supervision, students apply classroom knowledge on the range. Live-fire practice focuses on safe execution, proper technique, and confidence building. It's more important to take 10 perfect shots than 50 in the same amount of time.
No prerequisites needed for this course. Come with an open mind and a willingness to learn.
