Brains & Bevs is a speaker series at People’s Social where we pair great drinks with even greater ideas. This free, community-centered series is designed to spark curiosity, share knowledge, and bring people together around topics they might not otherwise explore—from science and culture to art, history, and more.
Our goal is simple: to create an open, inspiring space for lifelong learning with as few barriers as possible. The events are free to attend, and while we encourage enjoying a beverage or snack from the bar, no purchase is required.
🎤 Joe Scheidler, a gifted communicator and writer with a passion for the natural world, will be the host on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. He’ll dive into thought-provoking essays that capture the beauty, loss, and urgency of ecosystems in the Anthropocene—our current era shaped by human impact on the planet.
