The Wave of Light is a global act of remembrance, held every year on October 15, where families around the world light candles at 7pm to honour babies who have died during pregnancy, at birth, or in infancy. There is no single story of what loss looks like.
Whether your loss was recent or long ago, whether your story is shared openly or held quietly, you are welcome.
We invite you to join us in Logan in a gentle space of remembrance, reflection, and connection.
💜 From 6:20pm, there will be a time for reflection, with words of support shared before we light our candles. At 7:00pm, we will join families across the world in creating a continuous wave of light that circles the globe in love and remembrance.
💜 Bereavement Midwives from Logan Hospital, along with other local support services, will be present on the night, standing alongside our community in care and compassion.
This is a space for all – to grieve, to remember, and to stand together in love and understanding.
Note: All families are welcome. There will be a dedicated child-friendly space for young children and gift bags for each family.
This is a free event.
This event will be live streamed within this event page, so that community members who can’t be here in person can still take part. The live stream will focus on the speakers and stage only - audience members will not be recorded. We warmly encourage you to join us in person if you are able.
