The First Sunday of Advent: Journeying to Christmas

Advent begins with a call to “cast away the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.” On this first Sunday of the season, we look with hope to Jesus, who came in great humility and who will come again in majesty. A major theme of this season is that, just as we await Christ’s coming at Christmas, we await his coming again at the end of ages. The First Sunday of Advent is Sunday, November 30. We would love to welcome you at St. John's as we journey through Advent on our way to Christmas! All Sunday Services begin at 10:00 AM.
