LCSO’s second concert will be more than a performance—it will be a musical journey through love in its many forms: bold and young, passionate and romantic, and ultimately enduring through loss and grief.
Music has a way of reaching us in places words cannot. It doesn’t just entertain—it creates space for feeling, remembering, and understanding. It invites us to slow down, to sit with beauty and sorrow, and to discover something within ourselves that we may carry quietly every day, but rarely release.
And while that encounter can be deeply personal—even cathartic—it becomes something even more powerful when experienced together. In music, community becomes a vessel: a space where we can witness one another, reflect side by side, and share in meaning that words alone could never hold.
In listening, we are invited not only to feel, but perhaps also to heal, reflect, and come to new understandings of what endures—both in ourselves, and in each other.
Truths—about love, loss, or resilience—don’t emerge easily. In the stillness of the night, on a moonlit balcony, they come. ‘Tis when the heart needs not for what can be spoken, rather for feeling which only music can bring.
After the resounding success of our debut, join the Logan City Symphony Orchestra to be swept into worlds of passion, romance and desire.
From Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, burning with forbidden love, and Morricone’s Playing Love, glowing with tenderness, to Horner’s Titanic Suite, surging with devotion against fate, and Brahms’ monumental Symphony No. 1, full of struggle, unrequited love and triumph — this is a night that brings “love and destiny” to life.
Like Rose’s timeless words in Titanic, the experience of this evening — the music and the company you share it with — will never let you go.
