Peplos/Chiton Make & Take Class

Beat the summer heat at events! Learn how to make a Greek/Roman peplos or chiton dress. Students will go home with a finished outfit. Students will need to bring fabric for the class. To reserve a spot, send Toka/Juli Tucker a message. Spots are first come, first serve. I can ideally manage 3-5 students per class. Auditors are always welcome!

Fabric recommendations: Light gauzy cotton or sari

Miriam's Yarns and Fibers ( https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057160582179) regularly has recycled silk and cotton saris for sale. She is a great place to find saris to make beautiful chitons and peplos from!

Andrina/Jennifer Gulliford will be providing lunch. But extra munchies and food items to share are also welcome!

If you have a sewing machine, I would recommend bringing it, as well as matching thread and scissors.
