Creativity is one of the most ancient ways human beings make meaning. Long before we had language for emotions, we painted them, shaped them, sang them, carved them. When we create, we step into a space where the outer world quiets and the inner world become audible.
Imagination lifts its head. A sense of possibility returns. You move from passively experiencing life to actively shaping it. That shift is spiritual in nature. It is the moment you remember: I can create. I can choose. I can respond. I am not stuck.
Through guided discussion and creative exercises, Lisa shares how creativity helped her navigate a difficult season, and how the act of creating can gently stimulate joy and clarity.
Workshop One: Mapping the Heart — A Creative Collage Journey
In each session, we’ll begin with a simple, joyful warm-up project. In session one, that’s a gorgeous, beaded plant stake. This small creative exercise is intentional: making choices instantly wakes up the brain’s reward center. Once your creative spark is lit, we’ll move into our deeper work: a Heart Map collage.
We’ll focus on rediscovering what matters most to you—what fuels you, steadies you, and brings you back to yourself. Using curated materials and intuitive selection, participants will identify the feelings they want to nurture more fully in their lives and build a collage reflecting this.
In this session, you will:
• Explore how creativity activates the brain’s reward centers and supports emotional well-being
• Identify what’s most important to you right now
• Create a beaded plant stake and personalized Heart Map collage
• Leave with practical prompts to continue your creative reflection at home
