Screens are everywhere—at school, at home, in our pockets. And while technology opens doors, it also quietly shapes how our kids connect with the world. Without healthy boundaries, the digital world can make it harder for children to build friendships, manage big emotions, handle conflict, and even communicate well in future relationships—whether with a spouse, a boss, or a best friend.
It can feel alarming to think about: constant scrolling replacing real conversations, online influences taking the place of family values, or kids growing up without the coping skills they’ll need to thrive in school, friendships, and work life. Left unchecked, screen time doesn’t just affect the present—it can shape the kind of adults our children will become.
But here’s the good news: you’re not in this alone. Building Bright Futures created Screen Sense to help parents confidently navigate the digital world alongside their children. We’ll explore practical tools, real-life strategies, and meaningful ways to set parameters that allow technology to be a tool—not a takeover. Together, we’ll uncover how to create balance, strengthen family connections, and guide kids toward the social and emotional skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
Join us for Screen Sense—because our kids deserve more than just screen time; they deserve the skills and support to shine in every relationship and stage of life.
We kindly ask that this event be treated as a time just for you—to relax, connect, and recharge without distraction. We understand that life happens, so if bringing your child is necessary, childcare will be available though limited to 10 children. Just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
