Ash Wednesday Prayer Service

As Lent begins, join us at Hope Penuel Presbyterian Church for a service of prayer, reading and contemplation as we prepare ourselves for the season ahead. Ash Wednesday, 18th February at 2.30 p.m.

In Lent, we know there is nothing we can to save ourselves, we trust solely on Jesus' saving us at Calvary. What we can do, is set aside some time to read Scripture, pray and think about how God is speaking to us today, guiding our lives, and showing us where we need once again to come to him in repentance, open to his forgiveness. We can set aside something of ourselves, to focus on the one who set all of himself on a cross for us.

May this season bless each of us with a renewed sense of the depth and height and breadth of God's love, freely given for us, and the knowledge of how precious we are in his sight.
