Eve & SERA @ Warws Un, Llanrwst

Dim ond tridiau ar ôl lansiad eu halbwm newydd, rydym yn ffodus iawn o gael caneuon hudolus Eve a SERA yn llenwi Warws Un, Llanrwst. Bydd yr elw o’r noson yn mynd tuag at gefnogi Ymddiriedolaeth Natur Gogledd Cymru – sy’n gwbl addas gan fod albwm newydd Eve a SERA, Natur, yn dathlu byd natur Gogledd Cymru.

Just three days after their album launch we’re lucky to have the haunting songs of Eve and SERA gracing Warws Un, Llanrwst. The profits from the gig will go to support North Wales Wildlife Trust, which is fitting given that Eve and SERA’s new album Natur celebrates the natural world of North Wales’.

Dechreuodd Eve Goodman a SERA (Sarah Zyborska) gydweithio pan gafodd y ddwy eu dewis fel Artistiaid Gorwelion BBC yn 2019. Mae’r ddwy yn fenywod gyda gyrfaoedd unigol sy’n tyfu, ac fe fagwyd y ddwy yng Nghaernarfon, Gogledd Cymru. Ar ôl dim ond un sesiwn ysgrifennu, daethant o hyd i dir cyffredin yn eu cysylltiad â natur ac yn eu chwilfrydedd amdani. Wedi’u hamgylchynu gan dirlun hardd Gogledd Cymru – sy’n rhan hanfodol o’u bywydau – dechreuon nhw archwilio enwau Cymraeg adar, coed, blodau a’r byd mwy-na-dynol. Tyfodd y caneuon yn naturiol, gan gyffwrdd â chylchedd natur a menywod. Yn fuan, roedd corff o waith yn tyfu – pob cân yn ddathliad o’r ddau. Ganwyd Natur.

Eve Goodman and SERA (Sarah Zyborska) began working together when they were both selected as BBC Horizons Artists in 2019. Both women, with rising solo careers, grew up in Caernarfon, North Wales. After just one writing session they found common ground in their connection to and curiosity around nature. Surrounded by the beautiful North Wales landscape that is such an important part of their lives, they began to explore the Welsh names for birds, trees, flowers and the more-than-human world. The song tendrils soon grew to touch upon the cyclical element of both nature and women. Soon enough a body of work was growing, each song a celebration of both. Natur was born.

Amdanom ni – Mae Warws Un yn hen warws wedi’i drawsnewid yng nghanol Llanrwst, yn hysbys i’r trigolion fel cefn hen adeilad Jones & Bebb. Bellach, mae’n gartref hapus sy’n troi’n lleoliad dros dro ar gyfer cerddoriaeth arbennig ychydig weithiau’r flwyddyn.

About us - Warws Un is a converted warehouse in the heart of Llanrwst, known to locals as the back of the old Jones & Bebb building. It is now a happy home that transforms into a temporary venue for some wonderful music a handful of times a year.
