Llano, Texas - December 7, 2025 - Step back in time and experience the charm of the Victorian era at A Dickens of a Victorian Tea on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the Llano ISD Community Room, located at 1400 Oatman, Llano, Texas.
Guests will enjoy a traditional English tea featuring a delightful array of savories, scones, and desserts, accompanied by bottomless cups of fine teas served in true Victorian style.
Adding to the afternoon's festivities, attendees are invited to show off their most creative headwear in the Hat Contest, with prizes awarded in several fanciful categories:
Glitz & Glam, Spirit of Christmas, Spirit of Dickens. Largest Hat, and Smallest Hat.
As the highlight of the event, the Llano Community Theater will perform an original play, "When Dickens Came to Llano,” written by Llano's own Elke Jones. This one-of-a-kind performance captures the warmth, humor, and heart of the holiday season through the timeless inspiration of Charles Dickens.
Tickets are $25 and available at the Llano Visitor Center, 100 Train Station Dr., or online at www.llanocountyhistoricalcommission.org. Seating is limited, so early reservations are encouraged. Guests are encouraged to dress in period attire ,however, it is not required.
This charming holiday event serves as a fundraiser for the Llano County Historical Commission, helping to fund the initial publishing of their exciting new book, "Historical Homes of Llano County." Come share an elegant afternoon filled with laughter, friendship, and Christmas spirit - all while supporting a worthy cause that preserves Llano's rich heritage for generations to come.
