Do you often say yes when you really mean no?
Often feel obligated or resentful?
In every aspect of our lives, from living communally to working to our intimate relationships, we’ve found communication, consent and boundary setting to be essential.
Through reflecting on our own mistakes and mishaps and building new methods of communication, we’ve gained lots of insight and techniques, and have designed this creative workshop to equip you with new levels of confidence and practical ways to navigate all of your relationships…starting with your relationship with yourself!
This workshop is designed to meet you wherever you are; whether you struggle to say no, want to engage in more honest communication, or you’re just looking to gain more confidence and self assurance. We'll be exploring communication, consent and boundary setting through creative and artistic practices.
No experience needed, in art or anything else.
Maybe you're:
No matter what your life currently looks like, whatever your goals or intentions are; from starting a business, finding like minded community, improving your health, or simply getting out of bed in the morning, we want you to walk away from the our workshops with tools, techniques and a physical object designed to support you on your journey.
Over the last few years we’ve not only used our techniques to support ourselves and our community, but we have met more and more people looking for this kind of support. We've designed our workshops to support with:
We will provide a home cooked vegetarian lunch, with vegan options available. You can let us know of any other dietry requirements after booking.
We have a friendly dog and 2 lovely cats on site.
Personalised techniques and a handmade amulet designed to increase your confidence and support you in your everyday life.
Clare & Holly: a pair of creatives who have both climbed out of a pit of self-destructive behaviours and thought patterns, and stepped away from traditional roles and societal expectations.
For the last two years, we've been building community together at The Lavender Project, aiming to live as sustainably as possible and build and maintain healthy, supportive relationships. We’ve been helping people around us to do the same, using our own insights, practices and tried and tested techniques. We’ve been given wonderful feedback on how impactful this work is, so now we've put it all together into a series of creative workshops.
We're excited to share our resources, strategies and knowledge with a wider community- hopefully including you!
We're running other workshops this Autumn/Winter, including Painting from Within, Art & Archetypes, Internal Storytelling and Wreath making.

“I had a list as long as my arm of things I needed to achieve, so I was clear with what needed to be done, but at every point I found myself sabotaging and undermining. Hollys’ sessions gave me rock solid techniques and Clare’s produced physical objects to support my process and I’ve used them every day since”
"The Internal Storytelling workshop was really fun. There was a really good vibe and everyone was happy working on the task, but in their own way. I liked that the instructions on what to do where given in a way that we didn’t feel like we were being told that we had to do anything or that there was any pressure. There was lots of freedom, and we could’ve chosen to do it any way we wanted. There was a big choice of all the different things and materials; all the stuff we could’ve possibly needed or wanted to use, and lots of guidance and help if we weren’t sure about anything. I ended up being very pleased with what I did. I don’t consider myself very good at drawing, or at anything to do with art in any way, but what I ended up with was really good!"
“Working creatively with Clare was always very inspiring. With every project I learned something new whether that be skills, about the materials we were working with or about myself. I always felt very trusted and free with implementing my own ideas while also receiving support whenever needed. I left each time with new motivation to come up with my own projects.”
