Torch-lit Tales and Tour, Llandeilo

Join your guides Brooke and Ronnie as they take you on a torch-lit walking tour around the darkened streets of Llandeilo where you will hear tales of the strange, surreal and supernatural… Ghastly historical events, gruesome affairs, creepy customs and ghostly experiences. All completely true accounts taken from local newspapers of the time, historical writers such as Thomas Jenkins and Anne Beale, and of course, modern, unexplained eye-witness evidence recounted by local residents.

Who are your tour guides?
Brooke and Ronnie share a fascination of folklore and an interest in the unexplained.

Some of you may know Ronnie from Dinefwr Park where she leads the After Dark events. As The Past Timer, she is also a storyteller of dark, folkloric tales and performs talks for various organisations in all things strange, surreal and historical. She has been leading tours for 27 years and once served a "four year sentence" at The London Dungeon, where she created experiences that brought the past horribly back to life!

A passionate keeper of the old ways, Brooke infuses a deep love of nature, Celtic folklore and Welsh tradition into her work and practice. Honouring the rhythm of the land, she weaves native plant wisdom, animal lore and ancient myths into heritage crafts, storytelling and seasonal rituals, including the haunting Mari Lwyd procession of winter.

We look forward to sharing an eerie evening with you! The tour lasts approx 1.5 hours (definitely under 2 hours!) Don't forget your torch!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

- Bring your own torch: As the walk takes place in the evening with low light levels, please bring a torch to help navigate safely.
- Tour is strictly adults (16+) only. Sorry, we cannot take children.
- Tour is under two hours: exact duration depends on group size, mobility - and questions!
- Not suitable for dogs
- Dress for the Weather: Tour takes place outside! Please wear suitable clothing for the forecast, such as warm layers, umbrellas...
- Footwear: Suitable footwear is essential. The route may include uneven, loose surfaces, and steep hills.
- Mobility Considerations: Due to the nature of the old roads, this walk is best suited to those with good mobility. The route may include steep hills, rough paths, and uneven ground that could be challenging for some. If you are unsure, please contact us for advice before booking.

- Roads and traffic: Please be mindful that it is your responsibility to take care when crossing roads and be extra vigilant for traffic. While we have taken every effort to plan the tour route to avoid the main road as much as possible, please be aware that there will be traffic using the roads.
- No Intoxication: For your safety and the well-being of others, please do not attend the walk under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Refunds - sorry! We cannot refund if you change your mind or are unable to go to attend. Refund will only be issued if the event is cancelled (eg adverse weather conditions). Suitable prior notice will be given of this.
