The Tempest is coming to Lake Superior.

Auditions: Sunday, March 8, 1:00-4:00 pm | Monday, March 9, 6:00-9:00 pm
Callbacks: Saturday, March 14, 1:00-4:00 pm
Performances: July 17, 18, 24, 25 at 7:00 pm | July 19 & 26 at 2 pm
Rehearsal schedule: determined after casting; see details on audition form.
Auditions will consist of brief monologues from Shakespeare and cold readings of scenes in modern English. The former are available on the audition form.
Arrive in the first two hours of the audition period, and plan to stay for an hour or so, depending upon turnout.
Please plan to attend one of the audition dates.
Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to attend, including none! None at all!

Alonso, the grieving King of Mackinac.
Antonio, bad brother to Prospero.
Ariel, an island spirit with a legitimate beef.
Caliban, an island monster with a legitimate beef.
Claribel, a princess, married off by her father.
Ferdinand, a smitten and grieving prince.
Francesca, a courageous attendant to the royal train.
Gonzalo, a sweet-tempered old man who loves to talk.
Michibizhii, a god summoned by Prospero.
Miranda, a young and adventuresome woman.
Nellie Jay, irritable first mate to Roaring Dan.
Prospero, the usurped and exiled Duke of Marquette.
Roaring Dan, a pirate and ship’s captain.
Sebastian, an abettor to Antonio.
Stephano, a butler with a drinking problem.
Sycorax, a malevolent and wronged island witch.
Trinculo, a clown of sorts.
About the Play
Prospero, rightful Duke of Marquette, has been exiled to a wild island in Lake Superior with his daughter Miranda. When his usurpers are shipwrecked on the island, Prospero sets out to teach them a lesson.
