Start your weekend off on the right foot and join us for Saturday's Walk with a Doc! Our walk steps off at 9am at Onondaga Lake Park (Meet on the grass in front of parking lot next to the Visitor's Center).
Dr. Anna Shapiro, MD—Professor of Radiation Oncology and Department Vice Chief of Radiation Oncology—will lead this week's walk. This week's topic will be "4 Things to know about Breast Cancer Prevention and Breast Cancer."
All Upstate Walk with a Doc events are free and open to the public. All walkers (children, pets on a leash) can come by and join the morning of the walk! Fruit and water provided.
Walk with a Doc is a walking program for everyone interested in taking steps for a healthier lifestyle. You’ll take a few minutes to learn about a current health topic from a healthcare provider, then spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and fun conversation.
It’s a great way to get out, get active, and enjoy all the benefits that come from walking. Walk your own pace and distance.
PLEASE NOTE: Upstate's WWAD group will meet the first Saturday of each month from 9-10 am. Meet on the grass in front of parking lot, next to Visitor's Center.
