GENE REID BAND is a three piece electric ensemble based in Little Rock, Arkansas. They perform original music in the styles of Rock, Blues, Country, and Reggae. Gene is lead guitar and vocals with Wightman Harris on bass guitar, Debo Robinson on drums. They released their first album, Ghosts and Redheads in 2023, available on all streaming platforms. They have begun recording their second album.
Their music video (2023), “The Ghost of Orval Faubus” has earned twelve film festival awards and laurels so far. "Orval" addresses the topics of racism, homophobia and misogyny with the main message of the song being that the Confederacy and the South are not the same and never were. In fact, the Confederacy was the worst thing that ever happened to the South.
Gene Reid Band released their second music video, "Shooter In the School" in February of 2025 following a recording session at Wolfman Studios in Little Rock. The video uses AI to metaphorically address the school shooting epidemic. Like "The Ghost of Orval Faubus," the video of "Shooter In the School" offers artistic expression on social commentary, political criticism, and the human condition as well as echoing the influences of artists and artworks past.
"Shooter In the School" (2025) may be criticized for its portrayal of the NRA. The band encourages the curious to search the internet for news about "Maria Butina."
PHILIP MARTIN is a widely known and loved, award-winning Arkansas newspaper columnist & critic. He is a published book author, a painter, teacher, and he has written and recorded songs for many years. In July, Philip released Tigertown, a new 12-song album of stellar songs. He does not perform live very often, but when he does it is always a special treat.
SEAN HARRISON is a Fayetteville, Arkansas singer/songwriter. He travels far and wide playing solo/acoustic shows, and he released two new albums in April -- a full-production LP, Ghastly Love (and other dubious tales), and an acoustic EP, Son Of Rollerball (and other misfits). In 2015, a handful of his songs climbed the Billboard charts after appearing on Nashville artist Milton Patton's debut album. More at: www.SeanHarrisonSongs.com
