Mystery meets marshland at this year’s Little River Shrimp Fest
Readers will get their first chance to purchase advance copies of Riptide: Stormy Stories from the Grand Strand—a haunting new anthology from Green Ferns Publishing.
Set along the windswept South Carolina coast, Riptide features four original stories by Kelly Capriotti Burton, Lisa Borne Graves, Maegwen Salley-Massie, and Caleb Wygal. Each tale is steeped in coastal folklore and features Detective Phil Moody from the Myrtle Beach Mystery Series, drawn into legends and enigmas stranger than any case file.
Meet the Authors
Three of the four authors in Riptide will be present throughout the weekend, giving readers the rare opportunity to have their advance copy signed by the creative team behind Riptide.
Caleb Wygal will also be joined in his tent by Riptide co-author Kelly Capriotti Burton and USA Today Best-Selling mystery author Susan M. Boyer, whose Lowcountry mystery novels have captivated readers nationwide. While Susan is not part of the anthology, her presence adds another layer of literary charm to the weekend.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of Phil Moody or simply drawn to the mysteries of the Grand Strand, this is your chance to meet the authors, explore the stories, and take home a signed copy before the official release.
Caleb, award-winning author of the Myrtle Beach Mysteries, will also be on hand to discuss and sign his latest release, Death of a Legend. In this highly anticipated installment, bookstore owner turned amateur sleuth Clark Thomas investigates a decades-old local legend that stirs up more than ghost stories—it threatens to uncover deadly truths. With vivid coastal settings, gripping suspense, and Wygal’s signature storytelling, Death of a Legend is a must-read for mystery lovers.
In addition to Death of a Legend, Caleb will have all the books from his popular Myrtle Beach Mystery Series available, so readers can catch up on Clark Thomas’s earlier investigations. He’ll also have titles from his adventurous Lucas Caine series on hand—a thrilling collection of archaeological mysteries that fans of Indiana Jones and National Treasure won’t want to miss.
Come for the shrimp. Stay for the stories.
