We invite you to join us at the Heritage Center to discuss our next book,"Hardland" by Ashley E. Sweeney. FICTION
Set in 1899 Arizona, "Hardland" tells the story of Ruby Fortune, a former Wild West performer juggling single motherhood with running a business in a harsh frontier town. The novel features Southwest imagery and history, examining domestic abuse, motherhood, interracial relationships, and the challenges women faced in the late 19th-century American West.

Our book club provides a relaxed and cozy setting. Each month, we gather to explore and discuss a book with a regional focus. These thoughtfully curated selections of non-fiction and fiction will provide the opportunity to delve into the rich tapestry of our local culture and history.
As an added treat, every month we'll sample a new artisanal tea from RibbonsTeaHouse and vintage vinyl from Deadwax Records as we explore engaging books together.
Whether you are an avid reader or just looking for a pleasant way to spend an evening, our book club welcomes everyone. Meetings will be on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM. We look forward to evenings of great books, fine teas, and engaging discussion!
