This three-hour session is inspired by the hedgerows of North Kerry in winter and takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Teach Siamsa, close to fields, trees and wildlife. Through simple writing prompts, group discussion and quiet time to write, you will be invited to slow down, notice the season and explore your own voice on the page.
Following on from Voices of the Hedgerows, a creative writing collaboration as part of Kerry’s Wildlife Corridors: Hedgerows and Trees of the Kingdom, this is a standalone workshop for adults. You do not need to have attended any previous events to take part.
All levels of writing experience are welcome. You might be completely new to creative writing, returning after a break, or already writing and looking for fresh inspiration. The theme is hedgerows in winter, yet there is plenty of flexibility in how you respond to the prompts.
