The weekend will start with a Friday reception, Saturday morning tribute, a luncheon, Saturday afternoon sharing songs and memories of Allan, and a Saturday evening concert by the Folk Legacy Trio. We’re expecting lots of memories, laughter, stories, and music throughout the weekend, and that’s just what’s planned so far! Guitars and banjos are welcome, though we’ll have extras if your instruments don’t travel.
There is a room block for those travelling or wanting to stay up for late-night jamming.

Our family is looking forward to celebrating Allan’s remarkable life with Jenny, career, family, and caretaking of music. Know that weekend is entirely a casual affair. We don’t believe Allan purchased a new tie after approximately 1983 and do believe he would rise from the grave to haunt our family if any implication was made that you should dress up to celebrate his life.
One thing to know about Allan – if you didn’t already. He kept EVERYTHING. We will have pictures and souvenirs on display from throughout Allan’s life – both personal and professional. We’ll also have quite a few pieces of music memorabilia that we’re looking forward to sharing.
