Silence 4

Silence 4 was a Portuguese band from Leiria, formed in 1998 and disbanded in 2001. They mostly sung in English. The group’s line-up was David Fonseca (vocals and guitar), Sofia Lisboa (vocals), Rui Costa (bass guitar) and Tozé Pedrosa (drums). Their first album, Silence Becomes It (1998), had high critical acclaim, leading them to concerts and tours. In a period of absence, when they “escaped” to London, their second album was born, Only Pain Is Real, released and presented in their hometown in 2000. The last time they reunited was in 2014 for a brief tour in Portugal (Guimarães and Lisbon).
