Hackathonet är ett 3-dagars evenemang som Webbutskottet WebbU på Datateknologsektionen på LiU håller i och där alla är välkomna för att tävla om det bästa webbprojektet!

Så här går det till:
Hackathonet äger rum i Studenthuset på campus Valla, fredagen 20/2 till söndag 22/2. Från och med att vi lägger ut detta evenemang kommer ni kunna föreslå tema på vår hemsida. Sedan från och med 16/2 kommer ni kunna rösta på de olika teman som har kommit in som förslag!
Under fredagen av evenemanget kommer temat med flest röster presenteras samt prisspotten och upplägget på eventet i mer detalj. Efter temat har presenterats är det fritt fram att skapa lag av 1-5 personer, som sedan har fram till söndag 13:00 att skapa ett projekt enligt temat, samt förbereda en enklare presentation av det.
Vid slutpresentationer klockan 13:00 på söndagen kommer alla lag få presentera sina projekt. Man får presentera sitt projekt på valfritt sätt, så välj sättet som passar ditt projekt bäst! Varje presentation får max ta 5 minuter. Efter att alla lag har presenterat sina projekt börjar röstningen. Efter röstningen avslöjas de tre bästa lagen som kommer få pris baserat på deras plats och vilka lag som vinner de olika delkategorierna.

Vilka är välkomna?
Alla som är intresserade av webb är välkomna! Man behöver inte vara studerande, utan det är bara att anmäla sig!
Får man jobba på distans?
Om man inte vill jobba på sitt projekt på plats måste man inte det. Dock sker intropresentationen, projektpresentationerna, och röstningen på plats. Så se till att inte missa dem!

Don't know anything about web programming?
Come anyway! You may not win the big prize pool, but we have subcategories worth SEK 500 such as best all AI-generated page that you can still win! The worst that can happen is that you get free food for 3 days and learn more about web programming!

Here's how it works:
The hackathon will take place at Studenthuset on campus Valla from Friday, February 20th to Sunday, February 22nd. Once we publish this event, you will be able to suggest themes on our website. Then, starting on February 16, you will be able to vote on the various themes that have been suggested!
On Friday, the theme with the most votes will be presented, along with the prize pool and the event schedule in more detail. Once the theme has been presented, you are free to form teams of 1-5 people, who then have until Sunday at 1:00 p.m. to create a project based on the theme and prepare a simple presentation of it.
At the final presentations at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, all teams will get to present their projects. You can present your project in any way you want, so choose the way that best suits your project! Each presentation can last a maximum of 5 minutes. After all teams have presented their projects, voting will begin. After the voting, the three best teams will be revealed and will receive prizes based on their ranking and which teams win the various subcategories.

Who is welcome?
Anyone interested in web development is welcome! You don't have to be a student, just sign up!
Can you work remotely?
If you don't want to work on your project on site, you don't have to. However, the introductory presentation, project presentations, and voting will take place on site. So make sure you don't miss them!
