Branded Bonanza is coming to Tyler, TX, September 26-28, 2025!

1. All applicants will be required to submit proof of an approved BLM adoption application showing the number of horses they are approved for as part of the Branded Bonanza application (so please complete your BLM application first and await approval before applying to Branded Bonanza). Competitors are encouraged to complete their BLM application using the BLM Online Corral to expedite the process (
https://wildhorsesonline.blm.gov/HowToGuide).
2. Complete your Branded Bonanza application (
https://foreverbranded.org/branded-bonanza/). As part of your application, be prepared to submit 2 (non-family member) reference forms (
https://foreverbranded.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Branded-Bonanza-Reference-Form.pdf) and photos/videos of your facilities.
๐ฃ๐๐๐-๐จ๐ฃ & ๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ก: For this event you may adopt any eligible horse or burro from an approved BLM adoption event or BLM holding facility between February 15-June 1, 2025. If someone other than the competitor is the named adopter of the animal, they will need to be present at pick up to complete the necessary paperwork. You will need to submit adoption paperwork to be eligible to compete.
The competitor or adopter will select the animal they wish to compete with using the eligibility requirements: For all riding divisions, horses must be over 3-years-old and bay, brown, or sorrel. For all in-hand horse divisions, horses must be at least 1-year-old and bay, brown, or sorrel. For all burro divisions, burros must at least 1-year-old and gray or brown.
๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฆ๐๐ข๐ก๐ฆ & ๐๐จ๐๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐: Branded Bonanza is geared toward the novice horseman and designed to be a supportive atmosphere where folks can grow their horsemanship and their community along the way. Adult and youth can compete in in-hand and riding divisions, depending on their comfort level.
๐๐ช๐๐ฅ๐๐ฆ: Every competitor who returns to compete at the competition will receive $500. In addition, both division awards (cash awards to Top 10, neck ribbons to Top 10, champion buckle, and reserve award), individual class awards (ribbons for Top 10, champion buckle, reserve award), AND specialty awards are offered.
๐๐ข๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ก ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฆ: The competition will take place 9/26/25 and 9/27/25 at the Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler, TX. The open show will be 9/28/25. For more info on the open show, check out the event listing:
