Strange Pleasures at The Zoo Bar

Strange Pleasures is a groove-heavy rock band blending blues, funk, jazz, and psychedelic pop into an infectious, jam-friendly sound. Emerging from Omaha in the late ’90s, they became a regional staple before taking a brief hiatus and reuniting in 2017 with fresh energy and a love for live improvisation.

Known for their dynamic shows, sharp musicianship, and clever lyrics, the band has shared stages with acts like Galactic, Disco Biscuits, and Bernie Worrell. With a legacy that includes a national tour, a 2002 album “Waiting for Art”, and a feature in the book “Jambands”, Strange Pleasures continues to evolve while honoring its roots. Current members: Greg Beebe, Steve Petty, Kyle Scott, and Martie Cordaro.
