The Disassociates formed out of the Lincoln Improv Collective in 2023, this eight-person ensemble grew from open improv sessions and has since built a loyal following. Known for their playful energy and fearless commitment to “Yes, And!” The Disassociates are helping fuel a thriving Improv community in Lincoln NE.
Cosmic Improv-
Michael Bird has been improvising for over 21 years. He began his journey in 2004 with the University of Texas at Austin’s improv team, which he later Directed. Since then, Bird has trained, performed, and taught at theaters in Austin, Washington D.C., Chicago, and New York City. After years of performing with house and indie teams, Bird created his solo show “Bird and Friends: Cosmic Unity” in 2017. In it, he takes the stage solo and invites anyone from the audience to jump in at any moment. Bird takes all choices made by the audience and weaves them into an entire long-form improv show, creating the ultimate cosmic unity of play. Bird has brought his show to festivals across the U.S. and world including India, the Philippines, Turkey, Sweden, Ottawa, and Montreal.
