Complete spoon carving - two day workshop

Learn to design and carve wooden spoons from scratch with hand tools and traditional whittling methods in this two-day comprehensive class.

Set in a beautiful woodland setting, you will gain the skills to carve a spoon from log to finished spoon. Begin with learning different design approaches and how to split out green wood and shape it using an axe. Then learn safe techniques to refine your spoon with knives, and how to sharpen your tools.

This comprehensive class is great for beginners who want to learn to carve confidently at home, or as a refresher for more experienced spoon carvers.

Part 1: Saturday 14 March 10am - 4pm
Part 2: Sunday 15 March 10am-4pm
