This is a brand-new monthly hiking series to reintroduce the community to David Crockett Birthplace State Park.
As we continue to endeavor towards the Rebirth of the Birthplace, we would like to invite y’all out to accompany us on curated hiking expeditions as we discuss native flora, fauna, the history and future of the park.
Please dress accordingly for Hiking in East Tennessee Weather and don't forget to bring plenty of water.
What do participants need to bring?
*Sturdy shoes (boots recommended) & a refillable water bottle
What are the conditions going to be like?
Unsteady grounds (both sand and mud)
NO FACILITIES AVAILABLE TO USE, SO (1) PORTABLE TOILET ONLY
No children under 10, carpool if possible. All minors under 16 must have a participating guardian present.
Meet at Main Park Entrance/ Overflow Parking.
There are only 15 available participant spots for this program.
Registration for this event closes on Friday, February 20th.
ONLY THOSE REGISTERED ARE ALLOWED ON PARK GROUNDS!
In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled. Those registered will be notified by email.
