District V - Community Engagement- Superintendent Profile Feedback

The Gwinnett County Board of Education is leading a transparent and inclusive search process focused on excellence. In May 2025, the BOE selected Alma Advisory Group (“Alma”) to conduct a national search for the next superintendent of GCPS. Learn more about the search at: www.gcpsk12.org/supt-search.

As the first step in the process, the BOE will work with Alma to engage students, families, staff, and the community to develop a candidate profile. This profile will identify the characteristics, skills, and experience needed by the next superintendent of GCPS to address the district’s needs and priorities. The Board of Education will engage the GCPS community to develop a candidate profile in August and September of 2025.

These meetings are open to the GCPS community. Each gathering will include a brief overview of the search process and then a facilitated small group discussion designed so that all voices are heard.

Each Board of Education member (www.gcpsk12.org/board) will host a community gathering in their board district, with the Alma Advisory Group team facilitating the discussion. Interpretation and childcare will be available at each meeting
