Échos Matières est une installation sonore interactive, électromécanique et numérique, pensée pour un espace monumental comme la New Space, dont la réverbération et les échos deviennent des éléments essentiels de la composition.
L'œuvre déploie un paysage sonore génératif où instruments électroacoustiques, plantes, objets vibrants et dispositifs numériques interagissent avec le public. Les sons se propagent, se transforment et se recomposent dans l'espace en fonction des gestes, des déplacements et de la présence des visiteurs.
Conçue comme une plaine de jeux sonore, l'installation invite à explorer et activer l'espace à travers une expérience immersive mêlant matériaux bruts, éléments recyclés et technologies contemporaines (électronique, laser, impression 3D).
Une œuvre de Xavier Gazon, artiste sonore et créateur d'instruments électroniques, à la croisée de l'art sonore, de la sculpture et de l'installation interactive.
Cette exposition se déroule dans le cadre de l'appel à projet Art Numérique de la Ville de Liège.

Échos Matières is an interactive sound installation—electromechanical and digital—designed for a monumental space such as the New Space, where reverberation and echoes become essential elements of the composition.
The work unfolds a generative soundscape in which electroacoustic instruments, plants, vibrating objects and digital devices interact with the audience. Sounds travel, transform and recombine throughout the space according to the gestures, movements and presence of visitors.
Conceived as a sonic playground, the installation invites visitors to explore and activate the space through an immersive experience combining raw materials, recycled elements and contemporary technologies (electronics, laser, 3D printing).
A work by Xavier Gazon, sound artist and creator of electronic instruments, at the crossroads of sound art, sculpture and interactive installation.
This exhibition is presented as part of the Ville de Liège’s Digital Art open call for projects.
