Wave of Light Remembrance Service
In honour of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025
We would like to invite you to join us for our Wave of Light Remembrance Service, at Lichfield & District Crematorium, held in our Chapel on Wednesday 15th October 2025 at 6:00 PM, we kindly ask that you reserve seats, contact details at the bottom of the page.
Led by Celebrant Claire Lomas, this gentle and heartfelt service will include:
• Readings of meaningful poems
• A memorial slideshow (to include your baby’s name, please email us in advance)
• Candle lighting at 7:00 PM as part of the global Wave of Light
• Light refreshments and time to connect with other families who share similar experiences.
This service is part of Baby Loss Awareness Week (9th–15th October)- a time for remembrance, reflection, and raising awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss. It’s also a chance to highlight the importance of bereavement support and the ongoing work to improve pregnancy outcomes. Should you know of anyone who might find this beneficial, we would be grateful if you could kindly invite them to join us.
We hope this gathering will offer comfort, spark conversations, and provide a space for local bereaved parents and families to honour their precious babies.

Few experiences compare to the pain of pregnancy and baby loss. During this week, we acknowledge the importance of nurturing your mental and physical wellbeing as part of your bereavement journey.
