👁 Philosophical practice offers a range of reflective and meditative exercises designed to help you better understand yourself, connect with others on a deeper level, and calibrate your place in the world. Join us for a three-day retreat in a praceful small village in Northeastern Bohemia during which we will explore the art of philosophical practice together.
🧠 This isn’t the kind of philosophy you remember from school! Instead, we’ll engage in different types of philosophical dialogue, reflect on timeless ideas, and contemplate themes like virtue, the self, and the good life. The practices we’ll explore are inspired by the Socratic, Stoic, and Neoplatonist traditions - refined for the needs of the modern mind.
🌑 The retreat is open to all curious souls. No prior experience with philosophy is needed.
👨🏻🦱 The retreat will be led by Christopher Mastropietro (Canada), philosophical counsellor and co-creator of practices such as the Socratic Search Space and Dialectic into the Dialogos. Christopher is Director of the Vervaeke Foundation and a long-time collaborator of Professor John Vervaeke. He holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Toronto.
🧔🏼♂️ He will be joined by Adam Lalák (Czech Republic), philosophical counsellor and a pioneer of experiential philosophical practice. Adam is a fellow at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Charles University and holds a philosophy degree from the University of Cambridge.
💵 Price: 4500 CZK (200 EUR). This includes food and accommodation. Student discounts available upon request.
