Public Square Debate

VMI’s Civil Discourse Initiative invites you to an evening of thoughtful dialogue at our upcoming Public Square Debate.

📍 Hall of Valor, Marshall Hall, Virginia Military Institute

Public Square Debates bring together four groups: high school students, 2-year college students, 4-year college students, and local community members, for a shared experience in civic dialogue. These 2-hour debates explore enduring questions about what it means to help form a more perfect union where every person can fully exercise their inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

This event will feature an intercollegiate debate, and we warmly invite community members and high school students to join the conversation.
