Purpose:
The effects of 10/25/2023 are immense and continue to impact many of the families of our first responders. Significant others have continued this support though the daily stresses of emergency work, traumatic calls and critical incidents.
Being a significant other and/or partner to a first responder may come with its own hardships. Connecting with others who share similar experiences may provide the support to limit feelings of isolation.
The group will meet every 3rd Sunday. The purpose of this group is to offer an environment of mutual support, discuss the impact of the profession on the family, offer resources, and practical guidance and strategies.
Co-facilitators:
- Laurie Cyr-Martel
Doctor of Behavioral Health specializing in emergency systems
- Ashlee Brooks
Clinical Director at Oxford County Mental Health Services
- Julie Carr
CISM team member, first responder spouse
