Junior Backyard Ultra Run

How far can you go?? The Syringa Park loop is just shy of a quarter mile. There will be medals for whichever mileage each child ages 2-17 is able to achieve that day. 1 mile, 2 miles, 3 miles/5k, 4 miles, 5 miles and 6 miles/10k. If your child would like to go farther, I can have a medal created for whatever distance they would like to try for. Use your GPS watch to track the distance or we will also have armbands we will make tally marks on to track laps. Please RSVP so I know approximately how many medals will be needed. There will be treats and small prizes for all the kids when they finish. We will have good running music playing and a bubble machine blowing bubbles for the kids to run through each time they finish a lap. Since it is close to Halloween, the kids are encouraged to wear a costume that is good for running in and we will have a costume contest. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early for an organized warm up, get signed in and be ready to start by 10. A $5 donation is requested for each participating child for this event.
