"Our Stories" First Friday Lecture Series: Let's Talk About Seed Saving!

Join us at the North House on Friday, September 5th from 5pm to 6pm for this month's "Our Stories" lecture series: Let's Talk About Seed Saving!

In this interactive talk led by Jess Levine, we will explore saving seeds as we harvest our gardens. We’ll share stories of what’s worked, touch on basic mechanics, and perhaps share a fail story (or two) and fun historical facts about seed saving in West Virginia. Next, we will mull on wishes for future gardens that integrate seed saving and storage, with a nod to the 1/3 method (1/3 for you, 1/3 for birds, 1/3 left for reseeding). Then, we will share seeds! Swiss chard, sunflower, kale, and poppy are some of the seeds that will be available for participants to take home.
